All my time

Sometimes being a dad takes all your time and energy, and we have little time for else (like blogging) but I wanted to look back at what’s been going on with my family in the past week and show you some of the summer fun we’ve been having!  This post is full of pictures, so be sure to click on the “read more” button below!

First, what’s great about celebrating a baby’s first birthday is that they can equally enjoy going to the store to pick out their gift, as well as a few weeks later actually opening the gift and still being surprised and delighted!

Are all kids this infatuated with balloons?

Yes, he loves balloons more than he loves carousel rides at the fair…

And his overall attitude toward the fair is summed up below:

Which is also my attitude about the fair, generally speaking…

But Ella loved so many things at the fair!

And earlier that week some more fun!

So that’s where I’ve been the past few days, (also on a retreat with our youth group) on top of the projects for the refinance, and reading paperwork for the adoption.   So I haven’t had much time to blog.  But sometimes being a dad means spending less time doing things you like, and spending more time with the people you love!

  1. Kids have fun buying the present, opening it up, playing with it, and judging from the reaction of my 2 year old to his great-grandmother birthday card, there’s nothing better than a musical birthday card. He was opening and closing her card the whole time he was there, laughing the whole time.
